She began painting almost twenty years ago having received a thoughtful and inspired birthday present. About seven years ago she left a successful career in industrial steel behind her to focus on her family and her art. She also devotes much of her time volunteering for an organization that is dear to her heart, Children's Liver Disease Ireland.
